audrina-tolsensaidSuper Chopsticks By buzz setzer TYPE: Official SLURL: Black Bottom (CU Campus) BACKGROUND: I would like to make Super Chopsticks an ideal hang-out place on Campus by providing cheap lunch options, student discounts, Shifty Deals (aka yesterday's meals) and fun events. I would make sure to touch base with new employees and help them get a good foothold in the business, as well as trying to provide them with fun, long-term RP. ICly, my character needs to find some money to get his four-star resort started (which is doomed to fail), and how better to do that than with a restaurant which caters to his demographic? UNIQUE: Super Chopsticks won't just be a pan-Asian take-out house. It'll also be a place to get alternative student loans (with some interesting interest rates) and will be a part of the community by running charity events and possibly a scam or two. Or three. I'm also hoping it'll be a place where people want to hang out, and where quality story lines can be started or expanded on. EXPERIENCE:I've been in CD for a long time (5 years, almost six!) and have seen the way various businesses are led and run - from outstanding leaders to not-so-outstanding leaders, and I think I've adopted the best practices I've seen into my own style. I was also a leader in my career in RL for a number of years (before I went back to school - yay) and on sports teams. I think I'm fun, caring, considerate and easy going, but I also understand the need to follow rules and make sure that RP is staying drama-free and respectful. IDEAS:I plan to engage new players - both on the sim and in the business, by being friendly, helpful and approachable, as well as being available for questions and RP. I also want there to be opportunities for IC advancement in the business, because I feel that that kind of thing allows businesses to become part of peoples' stories, and allows them to be busy and survive. OTHER:I'm hoping to throw a huge gamer-style party circa 1994 with a DJ and Nintendo consoles set up for Super Smash Bros. tournaments, but, maybe just a party with really really good deals on sushi. And maybe Yoshi will actually make it properly without day-old-semi-decomposed meat so people will actually come back! |
