I think its a great idea and will have to contact you on that! A tour up and down Bourbon Street would be awesome.

Thank you for your comments Taylor!
No issues in this what so ever. I think it would be good to possibly have a flyer with a TP point set up to the welcome center. The welcome center would have advertising for businesses but I think as well would also help people to learn more about other resourses as well such as the newspaper. I’ve spoken on the paper before. Despite the fact…[Read more]
Taylor. Took a few days. Life as it is. Trying this from my phone so we will see how it goes. It is very true that most information can be found in the yellow pages of the newspaper though there are a few places out there which can not be. There are a few motels that are actually used but not advertised. A few buildings on people’s private…[Read more]
Not only can you bring in people to alert people on jobs but as well a respresenative of the college as well for those that want to better themselves. Of course money is tight but scholarships come from all sorts of places. I think the job fair is a great idea and if it hapepns, I’ll be more than willing to help you out with it.
Thank you Ellis! Glad I was able to get my point across. I was so tired last night. 😛
I think this absolutely fits with the atmosphere of the city. Why? Because whether this is used as a welcome or tourism center. When times are tough, that is the time they really need to shine above the rest. Advertising their business to be better than another so they are not shutting down. As well, if different sights in the city are able to…[Read more]
I actually have no issue changing the name. I think I had it out there as a welcome center in the first place and after conversation with someone, changed it. Honestly, it really has more to do with that than just tourism anyway. Welcomes, places to go, things to see. All wrapped up in one place to give direction and yes, have a way to ICly find things.
There are actually some cute costumes out there if someone actually wanted to step up to play it. Could see that being fun for some of the teens, kids or streetrats just looking to make a few easy bucks.
I as well agree. Let the food be greasy. Run the risk of people getting sick. Run that special cause its going out of date or you know it was…[Read more]
Peri, I think that was my biggest drive behind this. So many people forget the website. When one looks at the map, you see all the Sim businesses. But you don’t see all the resident created ones. There are places I have heard about but I don’t always know where they are. My goal is to try and keep a fairly updated list which would have me…[Read more]
Amissa! This is something I really want to do. See some more places utilized. I know we all enjoy what has been put out by Nadir and it’s all used and I would like to put focus on that as well. But he has given us the space to do more with our town. Some times it is hard to know what all is out there.
Ellis,
Hyping up places is one of the ideas that I have. Such as the idea with a ghost tour. One thing I thought to do is possibly having ghost stories shared through other players on different parts of the sim. Like you mentioned the Cemetary. It already has lore that goes along with it but I would like to hear stories on a number of places.…[Read more]
Ellie, It is as much a welcome center as well as tourism. As far as tourism centers in the U.S.. We have them in smallest and poorest of towns here in GA. The goal is to build up some of the areas. Use them for events or and or Roleplay and to remind people they are out there. It’s not about making money as much as it is awareness and another w…[Read more]
Thanks Rae. I really look forward to trying to foster some RP in to some of the smaller businesses that people set up outside of the main sim as well as those that are on main sim. There are a lot of areas to go that could be utilized but are not often. When it it is all said and done, it’s about the RP pure and simple and also making another way…[Read more]
Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed reading this. So much I wish I had when I first came to CD. Some of it I have learned over my time in RP. Others, I am still learning now so to see it put out like this was very refreshing and helpful. Thank you!
I feel the same way about the booze that a few other do. First you have Ellis who already runs a liquor store and despite his constantly advertising, has a hard time getting a lot of role-play there. There are a few bars in town but the most prominent is Lou’s. As well the ideal of having a ‘hooch’ as you say that is high end doesn’t quite fit…[Read more]
Drowning
In a whirlwind of emotion.
That spiraling avenue of confusion.
Stagnant air Constricting entry of life’s next breath
Eku finally sat down after a long work out in which she tried to drown her burdens away in sweat and seeking pain to ease the torments of her mind. With a pen in have she finally touched it to the journal she had…[Read more]
