Crack Den Flickr Group Reminder:
Everyone takes such wonderful pictures and I love viewing them! Just one thing to keep in mind, pictures will only be approved if they are pictures taken within the community. This means on the main Sim or surrounding. I thought I’d post a little something to be clear on it because I’ve seen a lot of work being submitted from other roleplay sims, photography shots having nothing to do with our sims or even fashion blogs (blog shots taken in our sim are welcome tho!).
I just don’t want people getting offended if they submit pictures that aren’t accepted. There is a “why” behind it and I just wanted to explain that. Thanks to everyone who submits and if you have a flickr account but have never joined the group please do! These pictures show up on our website and on our newspaper site! So not only would we love for the community to be involved, but outsiders or people who are new to the sims have the opportunity to view the group pool and get a taste of city life!
Well, that explains that LoL I was curious why some of mine never showed. Mine are all IC, even if they aren’t done on sim. ((My latest series was done wholly in character, but required a swamp. but there wasn’t one in CD that’s really “swampish” ore naturish enough, so we set it on the outskirts of Hathian.))
I had no way of knowing that if it’s not specified in the description. I have put thru a lot of yours bc I knew you did a lot of “photography” icly for Valmont and you did a lot of photos for summer fashion in Hathian, things like that which were great. The post wasn’t necessarily directed towards you. I have tons of pictures submitted daily that are of fashion blogs or other sims and felt it necessary to address, I have no way of contacting individual persons when their flickr name doesn’t match their sl name. I thought that making a post via website where everyone goes was the best way to shed some light on what photos are acceptable for the flickr group. It’s a group that was created to showcase the life of Hathian citizens, I get where you’re coming from with yours being done IC but again I didn’t know that when it wasn’t specified in the description like a lot of yours usually are.
Oh, nonono, i wasn’t calling you out on it. LoL. Sorry if it came out that way. I fully understand why you weed them out. 🙂 That’s one reason why i also post them up here on the site rather than the flickr sometimes. That.. and i really don’t want to inundate the flickr with my IC photography stuff. My post was more that i’m glad for the clarification. 🙂 And an explanation on my last set since i know there’s nowhere around Hathian like what was in those pictures. Always appreciate all your time adn effort you put into all aspects of CD, Audrina. 🙂
I think we’re all cool here as enthusisatic flickr users 🙂 one thing I do, is that i only submit photos to the Crack Den flickr if i actually took them in Hathian. Similarly, i submit any photos taken around CU to the Columtreal University flickr group – and any photos taken around Valmont Entertainment to the VE flickr group.
Not saying that has to be a rule or anything, but it’s just how i roll 🙂 Although I enjoy Lance’s work so much that it would be great if some of them get in the CD flickr sometimes too.
