Like I said on another thread one of the Ideas that we are going to implement is a youth correction center for those kids who become involved with the justice system. Basically we are planning on having it as a 2 to 3 week session.
If you do a crime today for example you could be sent for the May Intake. One group will be running thru. therefore there might be some time you are in the community between when you did your crime and do your sentance.
Anyhow, now is the time that we need to do our planning. Toss off some ideas. See who is interested as adult workers.
Things we are going to need is;
Social Workers;
Behavoiral Managers/guards; [my thought was possibly police officers might fill this role}
Recreation Leaders:
Youth Workers; [ anyone who has had some college would probly be hired ]
Doctors:
Psychiatrists:
Nurses:
Warden:
Deputy Warden('s):
Chaplain:
Native Elder:
Tutors
Now I also wonder who has what ideas about programing etc. I am thinking things like group therapy, anger managment etc but thats just a rough idea.
Someone has brought up the idea of education which was a great point, sorta like bringing in a teacher but the only thing is I don't want to take away from the elementary or high school so i thought maybe a bus could pick up our residents and transport them to the school. There would have to be searches of belongings {Only belongings there will be no strip searches roleplayed} as youth entered the facility.
Anyhow, this is just the first stage I'm looking forward to feedback, Ideas lots of ideas and volunteers;
