Hospital Code of Conduct: These Rules replace the previously posted policies of 2/24/2009
Congratulations!! You choose to work in Hathian General Hospital and you were accepted, a privilege that comes with some responsibilities. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask Tabbie Blackthorne, Lance Amat, or Jasmine Slade. We will be quite happy to get you the answer or direct you to someone who knows. Get familiar with the other staff members, most have been working here awhile and will be willing to help.
We tried to keep the rules simple: It is about making the role-playing fun but realistic to a medical center in a very dark town.
Dress Code:
We all wear clothes that identify our position here:
*Nurses must wear BLUE scrubs on duty.
*Interns must wear GREEN scrubs.
*Physicians, Psychiatrists, Morticians can wear lab coats over green scrubs or normal clothes as long as they are consistent with the status.
The staff on duty is not to look like gang members or derelicts. Unless there would be an ic reason for such appearance.
I have been known to be strict IC about enforcing the dress code because it also helps role-players identify staff.
All hospital employees are invited to join the CD Forums. Hathian General Hospital is represented in the Municipality. Have fun posting and use it to generate themes you like others to follow.
It should be clear that all staff must be a member of the Crack Den Roleplay Group as well as a member of Civilians and/or criminals. We also expect that while rping in the hospital, you keep your ooc comments in IM or to a minimum with some discretion in between brackets in chat.
We are here to have fun, your character is your choice. You can be a gold star staff member or a rogue.. What you do outside of the hospital is your life but the more you are working, (rping at the hospital) the more you will have a chance to be rewarded. Promotions are the results of seniority, participation and behavior that pleases your superiors. ( in an urban city like Hathian, some get by deceit and seduction what others get through bravery and courage.. that is well known).
Some will rise like shooting stars, others will fall in disgrace, for the life of an inner city hospital is quite rough.
We expect you to follow Second Life Terms of Service and all the Rules setup for every part of CD and CU. Any infraction to these rules will be addressed with penalties that could lead to Hospital Banning or worse, be turned over to CD Security who could decide to report the matter to Lindens.
Not matter how heated your IC interactions are we expect you to be mature and respectful of others when in OOC. If you forget to do that or start harassing people OOC , we are prepared to remove you from the hospital Group and take your tags away.
Although the hospital is not a traditional "safe place" it is nevertheless a place where weapons are not welcome, violence is avoided and all patients are treated regardless of origins, creeds, affiliations, or merit. Staff observed mistreating or neglecting patients will be brought on charges in front of the administration.
I did say we should keep it simple. Well now it is up to you to make it fun! The world being what it is, some of you may have concerns or misunderstandings about the above, feel free to call me or Tabbie Blackthorne directly. We are here to help and hopefully make rping at HGH a lot of great rp fun.
