😀 We have some of the best and most creative roleplayers in SL. However, we do run across, only now and then, someone who doesn't exactly apply realistic role-play to illnesses. When someone is shot in the stomach and a bullet is removed, it's normally a major injury since so many organs can be involved as well as arteries. Once a doc admits a patient with a wound, the system tells the doc how long a patient should be hospitalized for in hours. Those are the hours we expect the patient to be there. When we put in the information and twenty-four hours shows up in the time to be hospitalized, we tell the patient and then the patient is expected to be in the hospital that length of time. It's never overly long. But if your character gets hurt, then time to heal should be taken into consideration before taking the avi to a fight down the street right out of the emergency room. Spending time laying in a hospital bed is hard, but it's a good time to call your friends to come and slip in burgers and fries, or something that the doctors will have a fit over if they catch it. All of us, in real life, at one time or the other gets a trip to the hospital. If you have already been in the hospital real life, then draw on that, pull up the memories, the thoughts and wishes. Did you have a hot nurse you wanted to pinch, well, now is the time to try it, good luck though. Or did you have a handsome intern that floated your boat? Well, flirt away, maybe he'll notice. Our role-play characters can be as multi faceted as the player behind the screen. Dive in, have fun and remember that role-play is even more fun when you make it realistic.
