So it is final. We moved. The place we traded was falling apart and the winds of change was blowing warm air form the bayous that mixed poorly with the CD wide winds of changes. By moving we turned a new leaf for the city as it continues to transform itself to more of what in was before but in drabber colors and darker moods and less laggy spaces. To keep the pace with the city we drifted in mass , carrying our wounded, to arrive at an old structure where we are the "new" part. ( although newly created D8 hospital is role-played as an older hospital that was always there.) To fit with upcoming great transformations that will energize the whole sim, the move is punctuated by a new structure, a new ranking for staff, and a system of patient recording that will be web based. We are getting ready to see it activated. Nadir has worked for a long time and some of us made some contribution to creating a taxonomy of illnesses and injuries one can expect to treat in a world like CD . In the meantime, we trimmed the group from the excess of staff who no longer were active in the roles we created to make the medical model work smoothly. The cuts have touched every departments. From top to bottom. There were drastic in that we lost 70 % of our staff and not yet finalized. For some it will be the end of an association that was never really satisfying enough to warrant staying and do the hard work it takes to role-play a professional type role. Others will discover, upon loosing it,that it is a pleasure they now miss and will regret they didn't use the group more when they had the chance. To those I will say : Come back" Rejoin the new process , find your place among us and come participate in making the Hospital a great medium for fun and challenging Role-Playing.
As we go along i shall continue to appraise you all with what we are doing day to day to implement the changes Nadir conceived and created for the whole city to enjoy.
