About the Lecturer:
Jada Layali Watkins is an Armenian/African American woman from Chicago. She hales from University of Illinois-Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in African American Studies. She has an MBA in Small Business Development. In her experience, she has taught both Small Business Development courses and African American studies classes. In addition to her education, she runs her own small business consultation firm in which she assist companies with fiscal responsibilities, marketing, and crowdfunding.
Business 101 - Entrepreneurship
Course Description: Entrepreneurship is the ability to start and operate a successful small business. This course details the processes for starting a business from federal, state, and city regulations to the actual creativity and organization needed to make it a success. The tools taught in the class can be applied to all levels of business. Students will learn how to start a business, how to fund the business, and how to turn a profit.
OOC: The material covered in this class will be both pertinent to starting a real life business or an SL business.
