Well, after wondering in what capacity I can bring Lexi back to CU, which would fit with her character and background (because a 25 year old hanging around the Sorority stands looks pretty sad)....I had a brainwave, or freeze. CU Security!
Lexi as some people might know is a bit of an entrepreneur and sold off Black Orchid at the height of its success to an unnamed individual (;)) and since then has been drinking away her profits, enjoying the life of riley. Basically, she has grown bored of this, and wants a new challenge to sink her teeth into. She has 'been there done that' with Escorting, and has set up a new company, 'Ella Enterprises', since she doesn't really work well under anyone other than herself.
I would like to put out this idea see what people think? Any comments would be appreciated.
Ella Enterprises will put in a bid to tender for the CU Security. Danni has heard rumours are that the current security company are corrupt, and useless, or maybe seen for herself the lack of response times (who knows.) The bid has been well thought through, legal peeps consulted, the company set up legitimately with the left over finds from the sale of Black Orchid.
Details when skimming the bid would stand out like a glossy brochure:
The tender would be to provide full time Security on campus, based from a small office hub somewhere within the campus grounds, provided by CU.
Fully trained and uniformed Guards, with Advanced Restraint and Conflict Resolution Skills (this would soon slip..;))
Full Security checks on members of staff (has the possibility to be faked or standards slip)
Radio contact between Guards and Hub at all times
Optional panic buttons around campus when pressed alert a guard to that location (chances of pranks and fines)
Presence on campus deterring petty criminals, and Grafitti 'artists' (meaning they wont just sit in the office smoking and surfing porn using campus wifi -or will they?)
Mixture of male and female Guards when necessary
Large Event Security and Risk Management - think large scale campus events (added costs depending on no. people)
Security can be called out to disturbances in class to 'escort' students outside.
Random drug searches? (optional, extra one of costs each time)
Also offered, Building Safety and Fire Alarm checks
Responsible for locking up classrooms at night, building security
Lexi would manage this team, and provide occassional support herself, but will interview and handpick staff.
Price: This seems to be 10% more than the current Security company, but they cannot possibly offer what is detailed by Ella Enterprises which seems to blow the current company out the water. (ooc: If strongly negotiated with Lexi would probably negotiate the price down, but obviously she has gone in higher...snickers)...
(oocly: Despite the professional front, there are endless possibilities for conflict (which is what some people wanted on campus), bribery, using the business as a front for other mysterious dealings, and soon standards would start slipping as it all becomes underhand...etc. Future rp opportunities for growing the business and offering local business's Guards for events, such as Val's Irish Pub, other venues on campus -for a charge 😈 If people like it it could even go to TT for example to help their security against gangs, but I am not even thinking that far ahead yet as my main concern is CU.
I would like to say this would not take over from HPD, I do not want to step on their toes, and any serious incidents the Guards would call HPD and hold suspects till they arrived, think beatings, rape, or drug dealing- its simply to generate some retaliation to the behaviours on campus which can often go unpunished -where is the fun there! I also am thinking it may increase the male presence on campus which seems to be more female dominated -although there will be chances for men and women to apply! ) Also I think it would be a fun role for people to play the good or the bad. Could have all kinds of characters for the guards, the bullying sexist pig, the fat lazy one, the martyr, the patronising goody two shoes, the easily bribed, the campus romeo or juliet...etc
Please let me know if you like the idea, before I go ahead with it i'd like to know its generally supported by the players in CU and CD Admins etc!
