Hello Everyone! (CU Faculty, Students, and all CD Citizens):
So Coach Josh (Bubbs Zenovka) and Dean Jack (Jacking Inkpen) have been cooking up an idea for a Comedy Club Night at the CU campus.
This event would be open to the public, and is NOT considered a restricted student group. We'd like to try a few times with an 'Open Mic' policy, where anyone who wants to take a turn at getting on the little stage (more like a platform, really) to tell jokes, can have a turn.
As for the venue: We are thinking of the Student Union building and here are several good reasons for using it:
1. Aspiring college students who are on scholarship will earn credit toward becoming a CU Freshman when spending time at this event.
2. The Student Union building has a bowling alley on the bottom floor, and people could bowl and hear jokes at the same time!
3. The SU Building actually has three levels, with a cafe on the middle floor, and the small stage and sitting cushions on the top floor. This arrangement could make for separate Posting Order scenes to go on at the same time, in case the event gets packed with people (and we'd like to see this). Example: Any group bowling downstairs can consider themselves a separate group from the comedian and audience on the top floor, but all would share in the experience since everyone is still in the same chat range.
