Sat, Apr 25 @ 11:00 am - 11:00 pm
The P.T.A. (Parent-Teacher Association) of the Seaside School and Youth Center has arranged to reserve the public campsite in the state park located in Batterie for one day only, Saturday, April 25th for the families of Seaside. There will be some tents already set up and a campfire. The campgrounds also include a small pond and forest, and there is an outhouse on site. All Seaside children and their families are invited to come to the event! Due to young children’s tendency to be afraid of the dark at night, and teenagers’ tendencies to avoid young children, the camping excursion will be split into two shifts. Children ages 12 and younger are welcome to come between the hours of 11 a.m.-4 p.m. with a parent(s) or guardian (NPC attendant). We ask that parents please bring younger children home after 4 p.m. so that the Seaside teenagers can enjoy a camp night together without younger siblings around. Parents are welcome to remain/attend during the evening shift, but there will also be chaperones (Seaside staff and/or other parents) at the campgrounds at all times. Some food and drinks will be provided, but please bring favorite snacks, bathing suits, and wear comfortable clothing.
