I had an idea that I wanted to discuss. I would like feedback to get it approved before starting to RP the beginnings and getting the people together.
Like in RL there is a social divide of wealthy and the working class.
Some heads of gangs and such would have good money, not many, but a few of us with long story lines.
I was thinking of getting a few ”upper” people together for like a ’secret society’ thing where it almost plays like Eyes Wide Shut parties and have a place where the ’upper class’ can go away from the commoner. This can create some tension between the people and the leaders of gangs like in RL when you see a person driving around in a Lambo, and you’re putting alone in an old clunker.
I have more ideas to build on this with, but wanted the small foundation set before I built on it.
Any opportunity to engage others is a good idea – I guess this would simply work as a regular event, not necessarily a faction?
If so, that’s easy enough. Perhaps liaise with either the Theater House for an appropriate venue? Or a private location?
Can I meet with you in SL and discuss what my vision is and see how it would be private or maybe see where a good venue would be?
The few times I’ve seen this tried in the last few years, it never got off the ground. Scorch and Val were working on that as a ‘circuit’ type, invitation only party that moved around. It stepped on the toes of the Crimson Lock folks so we backed off, but CL never really went anywhere either. I’d be interested in seeing you pull it off and wouldn’t mind putting a character in the mix if you manage to.
