TYPE: Shooting Range
BACKGROUND: This business will provide a shooting/practice range for the Hathian citizens and HPD alike. It will be an actual working range that is capable of scoring rounds. The intent is to provide an RP business where citizens, factions and civil servants (HPD, FD, etc.) can interact. The business will sponsor both individual and group-oriented competitions as well to fuel RP opportunities and friendly rivalries. The business would also seek to have joint events with HPD and other businesses. To my knowledge, there is not another public shooting range available in Hathian. The range will be open to use ONLY for characters that have been officially approved for weapons. Chloe, as a character, does not yet have a tag so will NOT be handling weapons at the range until she receives a tag. There will be a 24/7 NPC that will manage the handling of weapons if needed. In my character’s back story, she spent nearly a lifetime in service to a shadowy group that was involved in human trafficking and gun running, so she has familiarity with all types of weapons and will be able to talk shop with the best of them. The range will be neutral turf (business run, not controlled by any group or faction) but not necessarily a safe space in the sense that RP could lead to fights and other mayhem. Chloe is a dark character and will not be above using the range as a front for some of her more shady dealings, which I hope will also add a layer of interest to the business. The chosen location is in D8 across from the FD and near to HPD, which will make it easy for characters to find their way there.
EXPERIENCE:In my time in Hathian, I have been hostess and now manager at Bon Temps. I have seen firsthand the work and dedication required to stimulate RP for a private business. I enjoy the opportunity for long story lines and the added layer of complexity and RP opportunities for my character. However, I also enjoy providing RP opportunities for other characters as well. It is great fun to see the business become a central point for story and I would work hard to maintain a consistent and reliable business front that would encourage interactions.
