For those of you that missed the meeting here is a link to the recording as well as a synopsis of goals and changes that will be occurring in the upcoming weeks. Please, note that points below do not encompass all the details so the recording should watched before filling out the form below. This topic will be unlocked once feedback is collected and more details are released.


GOALS:

To bring back the feel of a brotherhood and family within the HPD and allow for storylines to run rampant across all the ranks. Too much focus has been on authority rather than simple story-telling and upholding the image that the HPD is the toughest gang in CD.

What is needed from YOU?
Think about your character and its time in the HPD, think about recent promotions if you have received them. What does your character enjoy? What do you enjoy? As we re-rank and go through the roster we want to know what you want to DO so we understand where to place folks and how to lead them in this transition. NEW FEATURES coming December 27th, 2015

Roster & HUD

  • New look and feel that is designed to highlight active players only and de-emphasize the OOC focus on those who are inactive so the system can automatically “prune” the roster.
  • Morality score – The new HUD will ask questions to determine your characters state of mind in regards to corruption. These choices will impact the “Crooked” score on the roster allowing upper staff to see those who have the corruption required to lead stories and groups within the HPD.
  • Task Forces: The new roster will start with allowing one short term task force (2-4 weeks) that will follow storylines and goals. These task forces will have different leaders (don’t need to be high ranked officers) that will be responsible for its success IC. These missions may come from current IC happenings on the sim, HPD personal initiatives or stem from detective cases. Starting December 18, 2015 the MCU will be disbanded in order to re-work how cases are handled.
  • IC Medal-Awarding – The roster will display medals earned for players that IC really encompass the spirit of the HPD through their RP, initiative and stories. Those that received medals will be featured in the newspaper. Nominations will be based on task force participation and form-based submissions (form links automated to be randomly given to those that interact with the HPD)
  • Case Report have an updated look and feel

HPD GROUP CHANGES

  • The captain role will no longer be held by regular players. The new captain will be one static figure RPed by Admins and select GMs. Decisions regarding promotions and medals will need to be okayed by the Captain . This ensures no favoritism towards officers OR gangs.
  • Demotions will occur as we de-emphasize the importance of ranks. Rank will no longer allow officers to bulldoze RP needlessly
  • The highest ranks will require corruption and the need of story-telling. They will be responsible for ensuring LIVE training, finding leaders within the HPD to lead task forces, assigning cases to both detectives and the officers that report incidents, and the “mentor/buddy system. While procedural RP will still be important, HPD needs to focus on ongoing stories that do not only focus on gang-related activity.
  • Other Rules will be added regarding engagement with gangs and eachother, but they will be formed with the help of the current active players
  • IC staff meetings will be reoccurring
  • Rookies will be accepted on a bi-weekly cadence to promote groups to train/buddy-up in a mentor system. Possible Academy
