But that’s just the surface. \nBehind the tents and painted smiles is a well-organized black market operation. \nThe Carnival is a cover; a mobile hub for smugglers\, traffickers\, organ dealers\, and fixers. It slips from city to city under the radar\, running high-risk trades\, scoping out new marks\, and disappearing before anyone can put the pieces together. Locals might vanish. Property goes missing. Illegal trades change hands in the shadows — weapons\, narcotics\, stolen identities\, organs\, people. Nothing is off-limits\, so long as the price is right. \nThe workers aren’t just performers. They’re runners\, thieves\, and hunters. Some draw crowds. Some draw blood. Some offer deals no one should take. \nAnd when the Carnival leaves\, it takes more than it came with.
