Have you ever noticed how hard it can be to try and create a good roleplay when you're trying to type into the little Chat box in your viewer? If you're trying to write a long paragraph it's annoying to scroll back-and-forth in that little box to proofread.

My suggestion is to use a simple text editor that's already on your computer - Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac) and write your content there.

I almost always have Notepad open when I am playing SL. I create my roleplays there and then can paste into the chat as needed.  It's not uncommon for me to have 3-4 emotes, things for my avatar to say, or ideas in a document that I can play with and manipulate through the course of a scene - and cut-and-paste as needed. I feel I can roleplay better when I can see my whole response (especially for longer emotes) without it being cut off as it is in the chat window.

If you're someone who has a long term roleplay on the go, or usually play with the same few partners you could also look into software like Evernote (it's free), which would allow you to have multiple notes - one for each scene or partner - all organized in one easy place.

Using these external text editors has made my roleplay experience much more enjoyable, and I thought I'd share the idea with others.
