we've decided to put a hold on accepting any more gangs - at least until we've sorted out the active ones we have now and have done our best to make sure the rest of the den knows each one and what they're about.

Joining these specific gangs will require citizens to immerse themselves in the streets of Hathian. They will learn more of the gangs through social interaction w/ citizens and figure out how to get into them.

This will require some effort on part of gang leaders. I want them to make use of their group notices and their own subforum (moderated by leaders). These are tools that can help sustain discussion and plan activities.

Gang leaders should also meet with other leaders, OOC-ly, to plan the general course of gang wars to avoid powergaming/consent issues between them. Remember, the leaders who started these gangs were accepted because they showed a mature sense of reasoning and capability of leading other role-players.

A set of ranks should also be established in their gangs so that a single leader isn't required to be on all the time (we know people have lives outside of CD 😉 ).

I have asked current gang leaders to post their gang background/goals in their respective subforum. That info will also be neatly organized in the new welcome guide I'm drafting. This will allow people to understand the style of RP each gang has to offer. After that, it's up to them to figure out how to join them !

suggestions/comments?
