She stared for a long time through the corroded chained fence encompassing the hathian police department’s junkyard. Her eyes scanned the squad cars’ worn, exterior bodies and botched paint jobs, and she wondered to herself if she’d end up as destroyed as everything else in this forsaken town. Hathian had become worse with each passing night, and it seemed today’s rains only passed on the filth and corruption of the CD citizens onto the next unsuspecting victim. No one was safe. Taking a deep sigh, she turned her back towards town and headed for battery beach. It was best not to dwell on her misfortunes.
