I don’t think anybody who uses the sim doubts it’s fantastic because that is where they RP after all, spending their time and spend their lindens at if they happen to rent. People have posted before (I have before, in regards to a city council and changing leads up more frequently) and been accused of being angry just because they are suggesting…[Read more]

    Hey Vash, all,
Definitely interested in promoting that idea, Vash, with a regular/recurring feature in H’zine, it fits well with the city and entertainment theme of the ‘zine and I def. like promoting diff. businesses, variety and increasing RP, so all good w/me if the leads at P.A want to do something like that, with more discussion obviously…[Read more]

    Hey all,
Just wanted to put my thoughts out there. Vashti is definitely a fun loving and inclusive rp-er as well as witty, an all rounder oocly/icly. She’s always full of ideas and I’m more than happy to back promotional events at the PA by getting H’zine involved, if wanted, (for example, gift certificates, tats as actual prizes designed at the…[Read more]

    Hey all,
Just wanted to add to Inara’s suggestion for a private prison–which definitely has been echoed by a few people more than a few times– that to make the system work that much better and keep a steady flow of people that if the system made it to the sim it could be encouraged to be active by making those arresting officers from the HPD…[Read more]

hey all, thanks for the comments! I’m back from my trip and I just wanted to drop in a few of my own so we can start the ball rolling on the ‘zine. Thank you Val for your suggestions, they’re appreciated and I agree, the ‘zine will reflect that the city is a hard and gritty place, I am thinking of setting future photography themes reflecting the…[Read more]

Hi Jack! Thanks for your comments, ATM I’m on a little trip but will be able to answer questions better next week, I’ll try to answer them briefly here for now; the main difference between the ‘zine and Observer is that H’zine will be purely entertainment based– there are no adverts, no news.
Is it competition? Not for the purpose the Observer…[Read more]

Agreed with Kydora, she had some good comments to make in response to Val’s questions, so agree w/all the above–tho I have to say, the ones who act like they’re better just make it easier to pinpoint as assholes and I’m less likely to enjoy their rp, saves time for me in the long run 😛

I just want to add, about the empty buildings. The options are always good to have. I’ve seen the Hemporium stand there empty for as when I first started to rp. The car park/scrap yard are hardly ever used too. The garage? Another place under used. There are obviously places that might just be convenient locations for stuff that might help expand…[Read more]

I like that the discussion has been shaken up and that it’s gotten people talking. I also like to think that people realize we’re not all gloom and doom, some of us just wanna throw ideas out there and see some more options for RP because y’know, that could be fun too! I don’t actually believe in the 2 years I’ve rp-ed around CD that anything HAS…[Read more]

    Blue:
Yes, I understand and agree with your points, I can see where you’re coming from but I happen to think that six months for a lead to run a place isn’t a bad length of time or for a long term rp to take root. Also if the lead was good and the position came up after six months but people voted for the lead of that business (amongst the…[Read more]

I don’t agree with caimartinjgs choice of words and I do feel Blue made some fair and valid points but the point I myself was making was about inactive leads, people who come on now and then and hold spots but don’t really seem to do much to contribute to that business. As somebody whose spent time and money on the sim and who has heard this point…[Read more]

Agreed, I think an asylum would be a great idea; psychologist and pyschiatrists running experiments on the mentally insane and unstable, “involuntary” stints imposed on sane characters who end up somehow at the nuthouse (maybe through a dodgy ruling by a judge as part of a sentence) (all oocly agreed ofc) would make for different RP. A private…[Read more]

how many times do people want their chars to get raped/abducted?? I’m sure the excitement wears off after oh, I don’t know, the first six times. How much could your character realistically take before they go all Falling Down on a city? The police and gang dynamics and violence in general seems to get people hot but I’m glad that there are diverse…[Read more]

hey guys, thanks for the responses and offers of help!
Here’s a link about the positive effects of urban allotments on resident’s mental health, working outside in the sun and gardening is supposed to be good for people’s mental health according to studies which is why I suggested it as being a different form of…[Read more]

    Hey all,
I am currently working on an Urban Allotment with a few friends on sim with the idea of it being a rehabilitative treatment for people who need to blow off steam in more…positive ways as well as giving a calming and more peaceful refuge for those who want to take a break from the city/street life.
    The allotment isn’t just a positive…[Read more]

I think this is a great idea and I know Morph and think he’s a great RP player and believe this would be a good addition to the sim in terms of RP. I also have seen his builds and know he really puts a lot of effort into the look of a place and it will no doubt turn out stylish. This will also vary up the RP nicely and I like the kitchen idea too,…[Read more]

    Hey all,
Was just wondering if anybody would think creating a city council would be a good idea? It could open up
some new roles-such as Mayor, local political reps/advisors, departments,
and admin staff which in turn could create different types of role play such as campaigns, shady business deals,
elections and meetings over different…[Read more]

    hey all,
i’d like to suggest a place that could potentially generate a lot of RP, a boxing rink/club. It’d be pretty in keeping with a tough urban enivronment and could help diversify the jobs in CD. I could imagine it as being a shabby warehouse place with basic features, punching bags, weights in the main room and back rooms for gambling and a…[Read more]
