[This is Celine's diary, in-character but not accessible. It's always hidden in her room somewhere, wrapped in gauze.]
The book is shabby, but hard-covered. The pages are coated in fake, chipped gold. Some corners are ripped, some torn. It's battered. It's been through hell and back. In fact, it looked like it'd been tossed off a cliff.
Page 1: Just behind the front cover is a scratchy drawing of a butterfly with floppy wings, hanging off of its body like doors half off their hinges. On the next page is a quote:
After that, if you turned the page, it looked like someone had ripped a handful of pages out, sloppily. Like they wanted to erase the first half of the diary entirely, of the events and memories recorded there. Gone, all of it gone.
The following page was blank, except for some shaky lettering, in red ink, smack dab in the middle, that read:
<center>I'm starting over.</center>
