Companions For Canines (CFC)

BACKGROUND: If my business is approved, ideally I will be turning my backyard into an open shelter for players that roam Crack Den as stray animals to come and have a spot to sleep and meet other animal players. My SL roommates and myself would take care of the animals such as bathing, walking, training, and sheltering. In hopes to get the word out in town that there is a place to come and adopt a pet. This will hopefully bring together the diverse roleplay communities, and encourage those to give animal players a chance, and those players a chance to find a home.

EXPERIENCE: I have roleplayed in Crack Den now for several years in my time on SL and still do weekly to this day. I have grown my character up on these streets, he has seen a lot. Including, dozens of stray dogs that either get ignored or only fed scraps on the streets. Now, strays are inevitable, and make for good atmosphere of a town like Hathian. However, not all of them want to be strays. Some are looking for homes as pets, hoping to encounter that human who will give them time and help them too build their roleplay and their characters. Animal roleplayers are often over looked or misunderstood. And I believe having a shelter/adoption center for those who are interested in wanting human interaction and those who might want to adopt a roleplay pet for so many reasons. Dog fights, guard dogs, weapons of murder even, guide dogs, or just simple companions and pets. It is something widely underrated with dozens of players ready and willing to be a part of it and I would be honored to carry the privilege of helping that happen.
