Bio:

The son of Soviet immigrants - Olav grew up in a humble household. His family raised him on honorable values of democracy, love of the law, and love for his new home, America. He doesn't know any Russian because they felt their past in Russia was nothing but a burden on their shoulders. His father, Nikolai Gorbunov was to be conscripted and sent to Afghanistan, but he had other plans.

He and his wife, Catherine Gorbunov both took a family 'trip' to East Germany, to visit a local whom they were given information about whom could smuggle them to the West, and then to America. His father worked at a weapons factory which was making the newer age of the AK-47, the then AK-74, the sucessor which the West wanted information on. The Soviets were racing to find him, but sadly missed him as the crossed the border via underground tunnel.

The couple and child both were brought to Munich, were they were processed by the local CIA office whom took down all the information his father had to offer. Once that was over and done with, the couple and child were given visas to America. The trio decided to move to Brighton Beach, New York. They knew family there that could keep them on their feet until they could get a steady living. All seemed to formulate from there to begin the start of a family whom blossomed to the American dream. Olav started to noticed some good changes in his life which allowed him to have more and more freedom.

Years passed and grew the little Olav into a toughened man whom enlisted in the United States Army Corps, he served several tours on different duties. From peacekeeping to base duties, his dedication within the Corps gave him a shot to jump into the United States 75th Army Rangers corps. He finally had a shot to prove himself in 1995 in Somalia, his squad was cut off and he was the commanding non-commissioned officer whom lead them through the entire city, losing several of his squad members he continued by having to drag their bodies with them, securing safehouses, and the such along the way when they needed to.

His squad was silently commended for their bravery and dedication towards each other, and his commanding skills there had him on the fast track. He was promoted to First Sergeant after his last stint in Somalia, with the last of the troops. His work in Somali was noticed by a private security contractor company which offered him a job that paid well and offered the action which he longed for. He accepted the offer and immediately was brought back to what he was used to, it wasn't long before he got assignments.

And there it was, his first assignment, his mission was to infiltrate a Chechen terrorists camp to extract an American whom was captured during a raid on a town meeting which some tourists visited. She was a single woman whom was named Elizabeth Carver, she was from Brooklyn and was interested in visiting abroad. He knew for sure she didn't get told what she was getting into. But he knew this didn't change anything, so he began on his lone trek through the wooded Chechen landscape. He had to venture for 3 days cross-woods to reach the target area. The camp was the usual tents and pitches, a fire and some wooded buildings fabricated with simple tools.

He waited until it was dark out and the wind was still - perfect conditions for Olav. He didn't have to worry about any sort of problems tonight, he made his way inside the camp with silencing the first guard by strangling him with his fibre-wire he took out his single sidearm which was Socom Mk23 with a silencer equipped. He slowly made his way through the camp, dealing with each one as he found and located the hostage. He had secured her and began to lead her out of the camp to the extractioon point, once aboard the helicopter they came under fire. Olav opened fired back at them with the PKM which was attached to the inside of the Mi-17 which he flew out in, supressing their fire as the ramp started to close. He took his hands off the mounted gun and looked back to his fellow contractors, each giving him a thumbs up.

His life was on the fast track, he was posted at the companys domestic branch near Hathia. He was deployed every so often inside to extract criminals whom grieving families paid to have them be ridden of. His company felt that his was justice for him, but it really wasn't, there wasn't anything that got him back to what he enjoyed - action. He explored the city and began to take in the city, figuring his new career. Olav took his pension and had it placed it on his retirement. He was able to retire early within Hathia.

With all this money at his feet now, and his arsenal still within his clutches, he decided to do the work which the locals were not able to. He decided to make a change for the city, himself sure that he'd make a difference.
