Hathian Motors

TYPE: Official Business

BACKGROUND: Hathian Motors has always seemed to me to be a shady kind of place. I wouldn't change that for the world. As for involving staff and new employees, I would work exactly as I do with the regulators. Delegate. Delegate. Delegate. Come up with a scenario, a few possible outcomes, then put people to work to see what comes from it. Events would include the obvious... street racing, car shows, stunt shows, etc that have proven to be popular when run by CK Motors or the MC. Colt's laissez faire attitude towards letting people do their jobs should appeal to characters that 'want something to do, but not be told how to do it.' Besides, it's a lot more fun when things go wrong than when they go right.

UNIQUE: Involvement. CK Motors has been a huge and consistent part of Colt's story from it's inception and even when I am required by my RL to travel or be absent, I have a good group of excellent RPers that will step up to fill the void and stay in touch. Of course, we can't man a shop 24 hours a day, but I am fortunate enough to have command of my time most days and my presence on sim speaks for itself. Also, one of the services that we would offer is transport for criminal activities for those that are not fortunate enough to obtain their own driving permits. Our permitted employees would be wheel men or getaway drivers... or assist in tossing that person you're stalking into the back of a van, delivering them wherever.

EXPERIENCE: Colt has played leadership roles in both the MC during it's peak and currently as the commander of the local militia, the Regulators. CK Motors has also been in continuous operation since it's inception, hiring and providing living space for new players and helping them integrate into the CD environment.

IDEAS: Before that could be answered specifically, it takes getting to know the players. Simply RPing with them until we both get a good idea of what kind of story they want to tell. If it makes IC sense for Hathian Motors to write that into the story, we'll gladly do so. If not, I will make every effort to put them in touch with the people that can give them the kind of story they are looking for. I have used the Taxi for the last two years to sit at the landing point and engage new players, often explaining the ways of the sim and answering their questions through RP instead of pointing them at a rule book. I hope that more than a few people who I have assisted will attest to this during the proposal review. I fully believe that without taking the time to integrate new players and help them to learn the customs, CD will stagnate. I have invested far too much time to watch that happen to the place I call home.

OTHER: The typical fireworks and free food, of course. But also things like 'pay $5 to smash a cop car' with the proceeds going to some charity. (The cop cars would be stolen from NPC officers or those that consent, of course). A car show or street race would not be out of place, either. To quote Hedley Lamar, "My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives."
