Cletus Kornberg, favorite and only son of Gladys Morpork. Despite a bumpy childhood where his mother seemingly married and divorced and sometimes widowed as often as he changed socks, Cletus considers his upbringing pretty darn good.

Cletus has spent most of his adult 32 years on the planet collecting disability for a bad back. In a stunning reversal of fortunes, the government decides he is perfectly capable of working and cuts off his monthly check.

A lesser person would be crushed by this turn of events, but Cletus takes it in his considerable stride and seeks out gainful employment. Fortune smiles on him once again and he finds himself a rookie on the Hathian police force, and in that same week is offered the job of fry cook at one of Hathian's leading restaurants, The Gein Burger.

Not one to turn his nose up at a shiny utility belt and an all you can eat buffet, Cletus takes both jobs and you can find him either patrolling the streets and keeping the citizens of the Crack Den safe, or flipping some tasty burgers over at the Gein.

Having won a double play on the job front, Cletus' new goal is find a girlfriend who is of reasonably loose morals, knows how to give insulin shots, and one whom his momma will take to. He would like to ensure all women in the dating pool that he's clean of any STDs and that when Gladys kicks, he'll inherit the trailer and a sizable collection of Danbury Mint collectible Jesus plates, and whimsical porcelain cats. His momma don't much like dogs, but she does love Jesus.
