[strong]The Proposal/Feedback Phase is an important part of faction development and approval, so please read this over and ask questions, express what you like, give suggestions you have, advice on what may or may not work based on your experience, etc. Keep in mind that admins do not necessarily need to be convinced to approve it, as a faction without potential wouldn't even be posted. Feedback means both support and giving what you see could help shape their faction story and place in the community![/strong]

The King Street Bones
by: kurtissketch resident

TYPE: Faction

MEMBERS: KurtisSketch.resident (Camden Fabers), Dave.Hunniton (David Dethly Pink), xjadejoliex.resident (Jade Frimon), ysmaystark.resident (Destiny)

BACKGROUND: Camden came to Hathian several years ago on a vacation, fell in love with the place and stayed. As a combat veteran in the Army, power meant everything to the boy-next-door psychopath. But after being discharged, he found himself lacking in that regard, and the longer he went about the day to day of small time hustles alone, the more he realized it wasn't enough. So he sought out folks that seemed to also share this lacking. As Camden, Jade, Destiny and David began bonding, ideas began spinning up. They all have the same goals--they want power, fame, money, protection, respect. They just have to figure out how to make it happen. Each of them have strengths, and flaws. David's fame draws crowds to the old Theatre's 'charity' events. Destiny's skillset dances between science and voodoo. Jade can acquire just about anything, through sheer force. Camden is a natural leader and thrives in social environments with manipulation and deception. Together, the group wants to rise to the surface in Hathian, and make a name for themselves--each for their own individual reasons. Through small-time hustles like muggings, robberies and abductions to darker, more sinister plots of betrayal, hyper-violent territorial displays, and eventually grand scale fraud...the gang's goals remain lofty but they'll do and say just about anything to reach them. That includes selling their loyalty as a group, to the highest bidder and burning bridges as they go. This will likely bite them in the ass as stories progress, but that's the cost of their ambition.

UNIQUE: As a whole, the gang's most unique trait is that their alliances are never set in stone. Be it an individual or an entire faction or business...the KING STREET BONES are loyal, for a price. And that alliance can be bought in silence, and used to others' advantage. But at the same time, as their reputation for this becomes apparent, this will develop into a dangerous game of trust and deception. The very thing that will make them unique, will likely bite them in the ass. Whereas one day the gang could be working for the HPD itself, the next, they could be sealing a deal behind the scenes with another gang to betray that previous loyalty and spring a trap. No one is too high to use as a stepping stone for the gang, if it means they get closer to their own group goals.

FLAW: Loyalty is the gang's biggest flaw, as a whole. Their allegiance is up for sale to literally anyone, and that can make for quite a few enemies rather quickly. It can also make for a lack of trust in new allegiances, so the gang will have to be careful with the balance of that.

The other big flaw the gang has is they all hunger for power, and there's not much they won't consider doing, in order to achieve it. That includes riskier plans or taking opportunities as they arise without planning ahead and giving it some thought.

POTENTIAL ENEMIES: Any allies that make deals with the gang and get betrayed or double crossed would be potential enemies, as well as any of the current street gangs, as well as the HPD and any victims/families of victims on a personal level.

EXPERIENCE: Camden is my current main character in Crack Den. He’s been played in CD since 2017. His account was formerly used for my previous main, Kakihara Henusaki. Kakihara was the leader of the CD gang ‘Sumfai’ until his death. I also play Poe Henusaki and she's been in CD since 2012. I've ran several official businesses in CD and always try to lead by example when roleplaying and in OOC fashion. I've learned how to de-escalate situations and handle things with civil discourse over the last 14 years of being in SL. IN RL, I am a professional game developer for a AAA studio and have 12+ years experience creating modern, urban faction-based open world content. This stuff is quite literally my passion, and what I do every day. I am very creative and absolutely love writing grimdark interactive stories and creating believable villains.

IDEAS: I have a great many ideas for the gang's future and presence in the city, but most of all I want to provide stories that engage the entire community and ripple out well beyond the KING STREET BONES. The gang will want to fight for turf and territory and continue to try to gain more power and sway in the streets. Their fluctuating allegiances means they could become involved in just about anything. Things like temporarily helping the HPD deal with another gang in exchange for shortened jail times, or betraying one alliance for another secretly in order to spring a trap or teach a lesson. Larger scale things like fraudulent charity events at the Theatre (such as a 'murder mystery' dinner event in which someone might actually die for real!) and even grimdark situations of live burials, blackmail and stealing organs for the blackmarket. Nothing is off limits if it means the gang could gain power in one way or another. This will likely lead the group into very dark, dangerous territory, and with how they seem to burn bridges...they may not be able to come back.
