Road upon road she had traveled, her long chestnut brown hair partly fell over her face before tangling in white Apple headphones that were blasting 'Red hot chili peppers - Under the bridge.' Feeling the beat move throughout her body her eyes grew weary. Sleeping wasn't much of a choice these days, the only people she had ever trusted were miles away and beside her was a weird girl who had been asking too many questions.

The term 'Sleeping with one eye opened' finally made sense, Her arm folded onto the grungy bus window. Laying her head down briefly, before feeling a vigorous clunk of the bus engine causing her to sit upright, Eva's eyes widened as she saw a town in the distance, pulling her headphones out in awe of the sight that she was seeing before her. The 'weird girl' noticing almost instantaneously before exclaiming loudly "That must be HATHIAN."

In the background a chuckle of an unknown male made Eva uneasy, he began to yell "Nothing to be excited about love, trust me." She sunk back down deep into her seat as she rolled her eyes. Embarrassed by what people may think of her sitting next to this weirdo, Eva cringed thinking they may assume they are friends, or even worse a family member.

As the bus entered the city of Hathian, Eva experienced flashbacks, memory fragments she had forgotten existed. Holding her head with her fingers running though her hair she was frozen in a trance. Like a flood gate of memories had just been opened. Eva had been gone for 14 years. Life had been mapped out for her in Charlottesville and yet here she was selfishly seeking answers.

As her foot hit the ground of Hathian she looked around at this broken city, spinning around in a full circle staring at the Louisiana sky she closed her eyes breathing in the scent of the city. Taking a step forward slightly disorientated she whispered to herself "Looks like I'm home, Back where it all began." A half smile formed on her defined lips as the doubt washed away from her mind, clarity to why she had left the perfect life behind her, she wasn't in Charlottesville any more. Flicking her long hair behind her shoulder, confidence peeking she winked at the gentleman across the road. Eva strutted down the main street searching for the nearest motel, she knew she wouldn't stop until she found what she was looking for, it was time to find her own way.
