Theater House

By: Nick Matfield (NickolasK Resident)
Type: Official business - Theater

BACKGROUND: I would host regular amateur nights for comedians, local bands and so on. Local talent shows to raise funds. Fund raisers would be a big part of what the theater would be used for. I'm also open and more than happy if people want to use the theater for drug deals, prostitution or any other activity. It would probably be pretty low key place to do such things on days when there's no event. We can maybe sell drugs from behind the bar. New employees would be asked to promote the events by handing out fliers, going around and telling people about it. This would encourage shy or new players and give them an IC reason to meet people. Nick would be the type of manager to not care what happens as long as they are making some kind of money. That allows a lot of freedom to employees and everyone else to do as they please.

UNIQUE: I think the theater is unique in that it can host events such as the one I mentioned above. The only other places, official businesses, that have anything close are Grind and Titty Twister. Grind has that mic stand and Titty Twister is better suited for adult entertainment, so the theater is the best place to accommodate these types of events. There's the stage in D8, but the theater has a more professional look and dressing rooms for backstage drama or drug deals.

EXPERIENCE: I enjoy meeting and rping with new people. I'm not a snob about post length and such things. I also am very good at separating IC from OOC. Nick has a LOT of IC enemies and people who loathe him. That's never turned into an OOC issue with any of them.

IDEAS: As mentioned above, I will send them out to promote and advertise events. If we can get hookers, I'll encourage them to bring clients to the backroom of the theater. Nick would also encourage new clients to offer such services as a way of getting a raise. More money for the theater= more money for them.

OTHER: Host a fund raiser to benefit the city. The city needs money, so I'd try to recruit local talent and businesses. There's a fund raising idea in the planning stages, but I don't want to get too much into it without having things finalized.
